Faith is the cornerstone of the Big Apple Youth Football League, even before
talent and hard work. (Hebrews 11:1-3) Though we have been doubted by many,
still more join us each season. We are forever grateful to Sam Jackson, John
Orlando, Darrell Ramsey, and Bertina McCline for creating this league for
underprivileged youth in New York City in 2001. Presently, we serve the youths
in all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester, and New
Jersey. We have experienced exponential growth for more than 23 years where
many youths have showcased their natural talents and pursued a professional
football career. In 2011, Big Apple Youth Football League became a charter
member of United Youth Football & Cheer national youth football league. This
opportunity provided our inner-city youths with the experience to play on a higher
level. We will continue to serve and provide for inner-city youths.

The frontline of our success is the parents’ “follow-through” on the values that our teams teach. Leadership and compassion are two of the qualities that our league staff  exude effortlessly well each season. The coaches who sacrifice their weekends and evenings during the football season. And most importantly I Thank the youths for simply loving the game enough to show up fully present and ready to play.
